Our riddle from last week (see above) brought up the old theory that one of the failings of the Roman Empire was the Roman Numeral system. It made even simple math functions nearly impossible. Well, if the old Roman Empire existed today, this would not be a problem. You can add, subtract, multiply and divide Roman Numerals at this website: http://www.guernsey.net/~sgibbs/roman.html

We will all be waiting to see the effects, if any, of the changing of prime ministers in Great Britain. Tony Blair has stepped down as the longest serving prime minister in the history of the Empire. The question worth asking is, does the role of the occupant of 10 Downing Street have revelance for the rest of us in the modern world? It will be interesting to watch.
