Boiler explosion at KapStone facility destroys building wall; no injuries reported

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (From WXIA-TV) -- A KapStone facility is missing 40-feet of wall after it was destroyed in a boiler plant explosion.

The explosion took place at KapStone Container building off of Sullivan Road just before 5 a.m. Thursday morning.

According to the College Park Fire Department, a boiler exploded in the rear of the building. There was heavy fire both in and around the scene when crews arrived.

All employees were accounted for with no injuries reported. Authorities say the biggest concern is the structural damage sustained by the blast.
