PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (From The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) -- Packaging Corporation of America will permanently close its 28th Street plant later this year, putting 51 employees out of work.

The Lake Forest, Ill., company told the state Department of Labor and Industry that it expects to begin laying off employees on Nov. 11.

Union members at the plant are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and the United Steelworkers union.
