I've been a subscriber for quite a few years. This week's column is the most valuable piece of information in 4 or 5 years.

I have forwarded it to a client who has for 20 years has not wanted to hear my comments about maintenance. And I said that if they thought they were an exception then I would like them to prove it to me. And I'll challenge them about allocations which we both know can be the curtain that mediocre managers hide their poor performance areas.

I'm also sending it to some others who need to be challenged or supported.
