Biopappel acquires US Corrugated shares

MEXICO (From news reports) -- Biopappel, the largest manufacturer of paper and paper products in Mexico, said that through McKinley Paper Company, its US subsidiary, it acquired 55 percent of the company US Corrugated , Inc and subsidiaries. 

In a statement and without mentioning the amount of the transaction, Biopappel stated that the operation will allow it to double the size of its operations in the United States, achieve a high integration towards higher value-added products and expand its geographical presence in that country, as well as Potentialize the opportunities for the export of its products made in Mexico supported by its new distribution network. 

"This strategic acquisition is consistent with our vision that today globally the best region to invest is North America and with our strategy of continuing to invest in Mexico and the United States," said Miguel Rincón, president of the company's board. 

US Corrugated Holdings , Inc. is a leader in the manufacture of packaging and paper packaging in the United States and operates a production and distribution network with modern industrial plants in California, Georgia, Indiana and New Jersey , as well as two more plants on the border between Mexico and the United States, located in Tijuana and Mexicali , Baja California.
