The Light Green Machine Institute will be holding its Third Annual Conference in a little less than five months from now.  We are currently soliciting ideas and participants for the conference, which will be held at the Atlanta Airport Hilton Hotel on January 22 – 24, 2012.  The overall conference theme is how the pulp & paper industry can reduce its capital and maintenance costs associated with producing printing & writing, paperboard, tissue, and others through new innovative concepts and developments.  These technological innovations can include how we can modify the papermaking process to achieve the above goals by changing the equipment and chemistry that we employ today.  The format of our conference is flexible to include presentations, panel discussions and brainstorming sessions.

We are indeed fortunate to have Hannu Melarti as our Key Note Speaker. 

 A native of Finland, Hannu has lived in the USA since 1991 and prior to that in Sweden where he worked for SCA Svenska Cellulosa and Sunds Defibrator. Hannu was appointed the President of Sunds Defibrator North America in 1996 and has since served as the President of Valmet North America, Metso North America and Kemira North America. As of July 2010, Hannu is his own man sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience in matters relating to organizational and industrial transformation with leaders and organizations looking for long-term success through the utilization of progressive and unconventional approaches.
